Digital Resource
Aberdeen City Council 2015-2016
The Arts Overview was a year long research project which looked at how to better support individuals to pursue and sustain a career in the arts in Aberdeen. I brought together over fifty individuals working across the film, publishing, visual arts, music and dance sector through three summits to pool together a bank of knowledge and commissioned a range of interviews and texts with practitioners in the city. This was developed into a digital resource and report for the city.
The aim of the project was to make the arts a viable and sustainable option for all those who want to purse it and to address the decline in students picking the arts in schools. My role involved initiating, coordinating and commissioning the process, writing the resource draft and producing the report. Edited by Shane Strachan and Louise Parkinson.
